Jess’s horror flick from last year, Piranha 3d is up for Teen Choice Awards this year! The movie’s been nominated in the Choice Movie: Horror category. Register and vote daily for it daily at the Teen Choice Awards site.
Jess has done a few more interviews over the past couple of days, mostly to promote Love, Wedding, Marriage as well as her other projects:
Interviewed by SIDEWALKS host Cindy Rhodes, Jessica Szohr talks about her family life, her memorable storylines as a regular castmember on Gossip Girl and some upcoming films she is in. As part of the promotional tour with Dove, Jessica tells us about how women can go sleeveless, as well as vote on the sleeveless looks they like, and win a New York City shopping trip with Jessica.
She also talks to Sky Living about LWM and marriage counselling.
Seeing a counsellor is nothing to be ashamed of, says Jessica Szohr.
And we could all use a session on the couch, according to the Gossip Girl star. Check out Jessica’s philosophising when our LA girl Diem caught up with her at the Love, Wedding, Marriage premiere.
Finally, Jess is scheduled to appear at Sobe’s Try Everything event today, along with former co-star Hilary Duff amongst others. Pics to be added when available.

Sad news for fans of Vanessa, it’s been confirmed by Michael Ausiello of TVLine that Jess, along with cast member Taylor Momsen, will not be returning to Gossip Girl next season as regulars.
TVLine has learned exclusively that Gossip Girl is parting ways with Taylor Momsen (Jenny) and Jessica Szohr (Vanessa).
A source close to the show confirms that the two actresses will not be returning as series regulars for the CW soap’s upcoming fifth season, but added that both have been invited back on a guest star basis.
The insider also confirms that GG‘s core five — Blake Lively (Serena), Leighton Meester (Blair) Penn Badgley (Dan), Ed Westwick (Chuck) and Chace Crawford (Nate) — will all be back in the fall. Additionally, Kaylee DeFer — who joined the cast this spring as Serena’s rabble-rousing cousin Charlie — has been promoted to series regular status.
The departures of Momsen and Szohr hardly come as a complete surprise. Momsen — who has made no secret of her desire to make music her primary focus — has appeared in only a handful of episodes this season. Similarly, Szohr’s alter ego has been given little to do save for a little eavesdropping and meddling here and there. What’s more, Vanessa recently revealed that she was leaving town to study abroad.
While this chapter of Jess’s life seems to have closed for now, the great news is she still has a lot of projects lined up over the next year, including her yet-to-be released movies, including “Love, Wedding, Marriage”, “Hirokin” and “I Don’t Know How She Does It” amongst many others. I wish her the best of luck in her movie career and hopefully we’ll continue to see lots more of her!
I posted some time ago that everyone should vote for Jess to score a nomination and you guys didn’t disappoint! She didn’t get Best Breakout Star, but she is up for Best Scared-as-S**t Performance! Head on over to the MTV Movie Awards Site and help her win a Golden Popcorn come June 5!
I’m so happy for her, she’s really racking up the roles. Thanks to the ladies on Fanforum for the heads’ up, Jess has been cast as the female lead in the teen comedy ‘Owned‘. No word yet on her co-stars/release date.
“Gossip Girl” star Jessica Szohr will play the female lead in the teen comedy “Owned,” produced by Radar Pictures and Dobre Films.
J.B. Rogers, who directed “American Pie 2″ and was a co-producer on “Hall Pass,” will helm from Jim Freeman’s script. Producing are Ted Field and Amy Halvorsen through Radar Pictures and Christopher D’Elia and Michael Klein through Dobre Films.
Story centers on a new girl in high school who tries to blackmail her nerdy neighbor with a compromising videotape, only to have him wind up the most popular kid in school.
Szohr’s credits include “Piranha 3D” and “Fired Up.” She’s repped by ICM and Luber Roklin Entertainment. Rogers is repped at ICM and Principal Entertainment.
While warmer temperatures may tempt women across the country to slip into their favorite sleeveless looks, many let underarm anxiety dictate their wardrobe choices. According to the recent Uncovering Underarms Study¹, almost all women feel their underarms are unattractive, and a majority report that this perception affects their daily wardrobe choices. Dove and “Gossip Girl” actress and fashionista Jessica Szohr are teaming up to give women the confidence to go sleeveless this season with Dove® Ultimate go sleeveless Deodorant, which promises softer, smoother underarms in just five days. Inspiring women to bare their beautiful underarms, Dove and Jessica are hosting the online Dove go sleeveless Fashion Challenge. Using an easy Facebook application, women can design their own sleeveless top for a chance to get their design made to wear, or win the grand prize of a $5,000 New York City shopping trip with Szohr.
“One of the perks of my job is that I have a new appreciation for fashion and completely understand the importance of accessorizing,” said Szohr. “Having a great pair of shoes or fun belt can be just as important as having smooth, soft, beautiful underarms when it comes to my outfit! Dove Ultimate go sleeveless Deodorant is a ‘must-have’ because it helps me care for delicate skin every day and gives me the confidence to wear whatever I like — on set or off.”
The issues identified in the 2010 study led Dove to team up with Jessica Szohr to inspire women to have fun with fashion this season and wear the sleeveless looks they love with confidence. Dove learned that women who care about the appearance of their underarms have more confidence in their overall appearance.
New statistics claim that 93 percent of women believe their armpits are unattractive. A new roll-on deodorant from Dove includes moisturizers that will supposedly improve the appearance of underarm skin. Ad campaigns for the product will feature Jessica Szohr.
A print ad for Dove’s new deodorant points out that “nearly 100% of women” find their underarms unattractive. In one ad, “Gossip Girl” actress Jessica Szohr posed in a sleeveless shirt with one arm raised. “With Dove, Jessica’s ready to bare those beautiful underarms!” the caption reads.
